Smart Networks with IT Orchestration Platform
Powua enables large enterprises to deploy private, public, or hybrid cloud configurations. It also supports all service models, including Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS), and leading virtualization solutions. Powua offers the possibility to integrate, in the hybrid cloud, resources present in your internal infrastructures. With resources managed with the main providers such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, or virtualization systems such as VmWare and OpenStack.
Through the Powua online platform, the IT department is now able to upload all available resources in a web catalog to which all departments have access based on pre-set authorizations. Users have access to an online catalog with ready-to-use software and solutions, they will be able to choose the infrastructures and services they need and use them for as long as necessary, no longer having to involve IT for configurations and activations.
Powua provides diagnostics on the use and cost of the cloud thanks to Machine Learning. Powua uses AIOps to predict hardware failures and system overloads, reducing costs by 30%. With just a few clicks, Powua can provide details on VMs, containers, and public clouds. In a few steps, you can change the activated services and analyze their performance.
Allocating costs and resources is now much easier. The IT division can recharge its consumption to any department and implement a provisioning and capacity planning system to plan investments based on accurate data.

Modules

STORE
The main store features are:
✓ Online store where customers can choose and configure their services and infrastructures themselves.
✓ Multi-store and multi-tenant management based on a single centralized catalog.
✓ Support for different types of products and services.
✓ Single Portal and Single Sign-On (OAuth2 support) for managed services.
✓ Complete order management, from purchase to service activation, and sharing with different users.
✓ User profiling (owner, standard).
✓ Integration with third-party payment gateways (PayPal).
✓ Integration with third-party help desk systems.

PROVISIONING
The main features of provisioning are:
✓ Management and configuration of infrastructures and virtual machines.
✓ Management and configuration of software services, public (SaaS) and private (SaaS on dedicated IaaS).
✓ Powua can activate and configure any type of integrated service with RESTful protocol provided by the platform itself. In addition, standard connectors are supplied with the main providers.
✓ The activated services will be available to users within the Powua portal, which can act as a collector of all the necessary services, also guaranteeing a Single Sign-On experience.
✓ Management of orders and users by back-office operators in a managed multi-tenant scenario.
✓ A single provisioning protocol, which includes native connectors to major public and private providers (such as Amazon AWS, Microsoft, OpenStack, and VMWare) and the provisioning connector, based on a scripting model, which significantly extends the list of supported providers (such as Google Cloud, Alibaba Cloud, Oracle Cloud, IBM Cloud, Nutanix and many others).
✓ Thanks to a powerful script-based engine, it is possible to define templates that allow the provisioning engine to be instructed on the creation and management of complex infrastructures, consisting of the most varied services made available by a large number of providers.

METERING
Main features:
✓ Real-time acquisition of data relating to resource consumption (CPU, Disk, Network, RAM) by machine and/or single process.
✓ The Powua Agent is Java software that can be easily installed on any device or operating system capable of running Java. It can also be run externally to the device to be monitored/measured through several supported protocols (SSH, SNMP, WMI, JDBC, IP SOCKET, HTTP, FTP, and others). The Agent acquires all information on resources and assets and sends them to the Metering / Monitoring server. The captured data is normalized and stored in a high-performance centralized relational and NoSQL repository.
✓ Real-time data acquisition on the consumption of resources and operating systems related to virtual machines or virtual data centers managed with VMWare vCenter or vCloud Director.
✓ Consumption and billing data for services provided through Microsoft CSP and Amazon AWS.
✓ Modeling of customized aggregation criteria for detected consumption (for example at group level, service, organization, etc ...).
✓ Integration with the Billing module to convert consumption into costs.

MONITORING
✓ IT asset management with detailed and historical information on hardware and software configurations on each machine.
✓ The system supports both active and passive devices. Powua agent runs on active devices and collects data from them. Powua Agent-less is a service that interrogates passive devices to collect data from them (such as cameras, network switches, IoT sensors, etc.).
✓ Representation of faults and alerts in real-time on customized maps and network synoptic, on geographic maps for geolocated devices.
✓ Monitoring of HW devices, services, and protocols for reachability and functionality.
✓ Monitoring of user access on both local and remote devices.
✓ Definition of the alarm thresholds following the occurrence of events.
✓ Creation of composite and complex alarms, starting from the monitored entities.
✓ Notifications by type of event.
✓ Hierarchical representation of the status of the monitored systems (e.g. at group, service, organization level).
✓ SLA calculation and reporting for defined components and services
✓ Additional information related to assets, configurations, and operating status through native connectors and protocols applied to different IP devices (such as cameras, sensors, and IoT gateways, etc…).

BILLING
The main features of billing are:
✓ Elaboration of algorithms (written in Javascript) based on provisioning, metering, and other data.
✓ Payment models such as prepaid, flat rate, pay-as-you-go, or any combination of these rules.
✓ Abstraction of the costs of the service through the concept of credits to be managed in the user portfolio and/or purchased through payment gateway (PayPal or others); multi-currency management for converting credits into the user's currency.
✓ Processing of billing data from public cloud providers (such as Microsoft CSP and AWS) to apply markup or discount policies.
✓ Acquisition of price lists relating to public providers (Microsoft, AWS) exposed as parameters to be used in formulas.
✓ Prepaid card management.
✓ Integration with external billing systems for invoice generation.
✓ Development of chargeback logic that allows the distribution of internal costs for the various company structures.
✓ The rules can be applied during the configuration of the service to condition the provisioning actions (e.g. choice of provisioning connector, etc.).
✓ Rules can be run when the service is activated or on a scheduled basis to produce customized outputs to be processed with the Analytics module.

ANALYTICS E AI
Includes the following full set of features:
✓ Creation of intuitive graphical reports and customizable dashboards, in self-service mode.
✓ Sharing of the analyzes produced and automatic distribution.
✓ Access to multiple external data sources via a rich set of data connectors.
✓ Ability to build advanced and predictive analyzes thanks to the availability of powerful artificial intelligence tools that use statistical algorithms, probability calculations, and machine learning.

WORKFLOW
The Workflow can be governed by activation conditions that can come from other Powua modules (such as events generated by Catalog and Provisioning, monitoring alarms, execution of pricing rules, etc.) or external applications.
It has SDK to build new integrations.
